Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Welder Helper to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will assist in various welding tasks, support welders in their duties, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety standards.

Duties

- Assist welders in MIG and TIG welding processes, ensuring high-quality work.

- Support rigging operations and safely operate cranes as needed.

- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as press brake machines for fabrication tasks.

- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications.

- Perform machining tasks including the use of calipers for precise measurements.

- Engage in plasma cutting for material preparation.

- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks related to ductwork and construction projects.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

- Conduct basic math calculations for measurements and material requirements.

Qualifications

- Previous experience in manufacturing or construction environments is preferred.

- Familiarity with welding techniques, including MIG and TIG welding, is advantageous.

- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to operate various tools and equipment safely.

- Experience with rigging, cranes, forklifts, and basic machining is a plus.

- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents effectively.

- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other measuring instruments.

- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.85 per hour

Expected hours: 10 – 50 per week

Work Location: In person
