Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fitting, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to interpret schematics to ensure high-quality fabrication and assembly of components.
Responsibilities
•Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and welding requirements.
•Operate welding equipment, including MIG, TIG, and stick welders, to fabricate metal components.
•Utilize power tools and machinery such as press brake machines for shaping and forming materials.
•Assemble ductwork and other metal structures according to project specifications.
•Use calipers and other measuring tools to ensure precision in measurements and fitment.
•Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
•Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment and tools to ensure optimal performance.
•Rig materials as needed for safe handling during the welding process.
•Adhere to all safety protocols while working in a manufacturing environment.
Requirements
•Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter or similar role in a manufacturing setting.
•Strong mechanical knowledge.
•Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
•Familiarity with various welding techniques and processes.
•Experience using power tools, including but not limited to grinders, drills, and saws.
•Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions.
•Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
