Industry-leading energy and general contractor, Top Form Industrial, Inc., TFI, founded in 2006, specializes in back-up power, including generators, fuel cells, and battery energy storage systems, as well as primary meter conversions and switchgear replacement. As a Welder, you will be responsible for performing high-quality welding using MIG, TIG, and stick processes in the completion of custom fabrication projects, including the construction of steel and aluminum structures. The ideal candidate has experience working with a range of metals and thicknesses and will be comfortable interpreting technical drawings, adhering to precise specifications, and upholding safety standards. The role requires that projects be completed on time to meet customer deadlines.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and Stick welding on a variety of metals and assemblies.
- Read, interpret, and apply information from blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
- Inspect completed welds for strength, quality, and accuracy.
- Maintain welding equipment and ensure proper safety measures are followed at all times.
- Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to meet project deadlines.
- Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures consistently.
- Document work performed and communicate progress with supervisors as required.
- Assist with shop organization, workflow efficiency, and adherence to production schedules.
Experience: minimum of 2 years of experience with MIG aluminum welding
- Proficiency in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, and stick) with emphasis on structural and aluminum work.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and welding symbols accurately.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and precision.
- Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) preferred, but not required.
- Fabrication shop-based role with frequent exposure to welding operations, noise, and machinery.
- Requires use of PPE including welding helmets, gloves, and safety gear.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and work around fabrication equipment.
- Driver’s license and reliable transportation is a must.
