About This Job

Overview

We are seeking a skilled person to join our team! We provide laser manufacturing and powder coating services for various products and are looking to add an experienced, skilled welder to our team.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

•

Reading and understanding plans prior to starting a project

•

Sourcing assistance with the materials to be used in the project

•

Measuring and cutting materials to specifications

•

Welding products using the correct materials to join the metals together

•

Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances marked on the plans

•

Notify Department Team Lead of any quality issues on parts being processed when discovered

•

Notify Department Team Lead of any potential safety issues when discovered, assist with corrective action

•

Assist with Daily Start Up and Shut Down of Department as directed by Department Team Lead

•

Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in employee manual

•

Follow daily production schedule as documented

•

Complete all daily production reporting as required by Department Team Lead

•

Complete other department tasks as communicated and required by Department Team Lead

Experience

•

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal staff

•

Applicable computer proficiency

•

Minimum 1 year experience with Miller Welding Equipment

•

Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service

•

Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

•

High school diploma or GED preferred

Physical Requirements

•

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.

•

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards

•

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs

•

Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
