The Water Treatment Technician is responsible for the safe application of Aegis’ Chlorine Dioxide product at the customer location.
- Proper mixing of chemicals;
- Testing of precursor chemicals and final product;
- Sample collection;
- Generator operation and maintenance;
- Surface and subsurface application of Chlorine Dioxide solution and;
- Manage chemical inventory and transfer to and from location
- Set up and take down frac equipment
- Manage pumps, chemical lines, totes, rates and pressures
- Communicate issues and questions to immediate supervisor in a timely and thorough manner
- Interact with customer and other field personnel to answer questions and resolve issues
- Monitor, maintain and troubleshoot field equipment in support of chemical treatment programs
- Collect and record data and on occasion present to company man or well site supervisor
- Submit paperwork/report upon completion of frac
- Inventory transfers
- Knowledge of valve and well pressures while on oilfield locations
- Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of chemical process and utilization in yard and field operations
- Maintain company property in good order (equipment, tools, computer, phones, trucks, etc.)

- Driving record that is acceptable to Aegis’ standards;
- Ability to solve simple to moderate math problems including multiplication and division;
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written;
- Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook) and PC Skills;
- Ability to work safely and follow safe and compliant chemical hauling practices and;
- Needs little direction to complete tasks; can dictate degree of direction needed to complete tasks
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous oilfield experience
- Experience with the operation of forklifts, drum dollies, trailer hoists, chemical pumps, hoses, meters, and gauges
- Ability to work in in climate weather, long hours, and lift at least 50 pounds repeatedly
- Physical demands of the position include sitting, standing, climbing, agility, reaching, trunk movements, lifting, carrying, pushing/pulling, low level work, dexterity of hands and fingers, seeing, hearing and talking and;
- Ability to work overtime and various schedules as needed with occasional overnight travel
This position requires daily local travel within assigned Company vehicle.
