We are looking for a well-seasoned Environmental & Industrial Technician with strong communication and customer service skills, innate attention to detail, experience within the construction industry, water treatment chemistry, valid class 5 driver license with a good driving record. Must be able to contribute to a positive “team player” working environment. Guaranteed 40 hours a week 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, able to work some overtime, after hour calls.
Please note: This is NOT a chemist or environmentalist job. It is for an On-site wastewater treatment technician job.
Key responsibilities and functions may include, but are not limited to:
✓ Check treatment systems on job sites. (Site Visits) Chemical levels, performance, sediment levels, calibration of equipment.
✓ Monitor incoming water quality and discharge water quality. (Turbidity and pH)
✓ Clean, repair any equipment that has been damaged to be put back into service.
Our service-based business is primarily focused on all aspects of Water Management, Water Filtration, Hazardous Waste Management, Dewatering and Disaster Relief. The clients we work closely with, range from but are not limited to land developers, construction, and excavation companies, various government departments conducting infra-structure upgrade projects. These all rely on us for all their environmental management, site remediation, ground water control, including supply of equipment for groundwater treatment, pumping and treatment and disposal of their contaminated soils. Please note, most of our work is above grade.
The right candidate will have environmental / construction experience, and an established background in water treatment. A clean valid Drivers' License is mandatory as you will be required to visit job sites.
This position comes standard with a 90 days probationary period, of which the successful applicant would be eligible for a Company Cell Phone, Company Car and/or Mileage (in due course of time) and to join our Extended Health Benefits Package.
