The Water Services Worker 11 is responsible for conducting investigations based on customer complaints and taking appropriate corrective action.
Incumbent is required to work shift work, holidays and weekends.

The qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability necessary for an
individual to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. Reasonable amounts of training are
Five (5) years of progressive experience and expected to have a thorough knowledge of all sections and functions of the Department or
Five (5) years of demonstrated experience involving working in the installation and/or maintenance of water services and cross-connection devices.
High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate
Knowledge of the city's main system. Expected to have full knowledge of all Water Services sections and functions
Skill in reading and understanding various pressure and defuser gauges used for measuring water pressure. Ability to read and interpret pertinent water, sewer and construction plats, maps and drawings.
Must possess and maintain a valid Motor Vehicle Operating License and a D.C. Water Vehicle Endorsement.
Subject to indoor and/or outdoor environmental conditions that include exposure to extreme cold and/or hot temperatures.
Subject to noise, vibration, and hazards from a variety of physical conditions.
Subject to atmospheric conditions that affect the respiratory system or skin such as fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases or poor ventilation, or to exposure to oils or other cutting fluids.
