A leading engineering firm in the Southeast is looking for a seasoned expert in water systems design and analysis to join their dynamic team. Key responsibilities for this role will include (but are not limited to):
•Design and draft solutions for water systems, including stormwater and flood control.
•Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis for water distribution and drainage systems.
•Develop BMPs for stormwater and water quality, ensuring regulatory compliance.
•Prepare permit applications and supporting documentation.
•Use modeling software (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcMap, Civil 3D) for water flow and drainage analysis.
•Collaborate with internal teams and clients on water resource strategies.
•Prepare reports, including FEMA CLOMR/LOMR applications and drainage analysis.
Required and desired skillsets, experience, and qualifications for this role:
•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
•At least 6 years of engineering experience, with 5+ in water, stormwater, or hydrology projects.
•PE license required (or ability to get reciprocity in GA or SC within 6 months).
•Proficient in modeling tools like HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ICPR, XPSWMM, ArcMap, and Civil 3D.
•2D hydraulic modeling experience is a plus.
•Skilled in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reports and presentations (Teams or in person).
•Ability to utilize Excel spreadsheets, create Excel trackers, and be able to use Word and PowerPoint for reporting/presentations via Teams or in person.
