Water Plant Operator Trainee

What You Can Expect

As a Water Plant Operator Trainee, you'll operate a Grade IV surface water treatment plant at the University of Iowa. Duties include shift-based operation, water sampling and testing, analyzing and adjusting treatment processes, maintaining equipment, preparing reports, assisting with regulatory compliance, managing chemical inventory, training interns, ensuring safety, and maintaining plant cleanliness.

Performs maintenance and cleaning tasks on plant equipment, grounds, and assists with preparing operational reports and documentation

What You'll Bring

Ability to obtain a State of Iowa DNR Grade 2 Water Treatment certification within 2 years of employment

Additional Details

Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license/clean driving record

Compensation

Hourly Range: $21.49 – $32.90 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
