Water Helper I/II

Position:

The Truckee Donner Public Utility District (Truckee Donner PUD) Water Department is looking to fill two temporary Water Helper I/II vacancies. This is a 6 month temporary position.

This is an in training position under direct and immediate supervision, performs a variety of semi-skilled duties connected with utility district operations, maintenance and construction practices while assisting other employees. Headquartered in historic Truckee, CA, in the incomparably beautiful Lake Tahoe Region, the Truckee Donner PUD is one of the most stable and progressive utility districts anywhere. With roots dating to 1927, the Truckee Donner PUD provides sustainable, reliable, and high-quality water and electric services to over 13,000 electric customers and over 12,500 water customers in greater Truckee, a service area of 45.5 square miles.

To provide reliable, high quality water and electrical power services while meeting customer demand, and to manage District resources in a safe, open, responsible, environmentally sound manner at the lowest practical cost.

Qualifications:

An example of a qualified candidate would be an someone who has experience, education, skill sets or a combination thereof, that include or resemble the following:

A high school diploma or equivalent

Ability to perform moderate to heavy physical activity.

Some limited knowledge of use of hand tools and materials used in construction trades.

Valid class C drivers license for Water Help I

Valid class A drivers license for Water Helper II
