Job Description: The Training Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs for all staff involved in the decommissioning process. This includes ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining high safety standards, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
•Develop and implement comprehensive training programs tailored to the needs of the decommissioning project.
•Ensure all training materials are up-to-date and comply with industry regulations and standards.
•Conduct training sessions and workshops for employees at all levels.
•Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, making adjustments as necessary.
•Collaborate with project managers, safety officers, and other stakeholder.rs to identify training needs and priorities.
•Maintain accurate records of training activities and certifications.
•Stay informed about the latest developments in nuclear decommissioning and training methodologies.
•Other training related duties as assigned.
Job Requirements/Skills/Education/Experience
•Bachelor's degree in Education, Training, Human Resources, or a related field.
•Minimum of 5 years of experience in a training management role, preferably in the nuclear or energy sector.
•Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards in the nuclear industry.
•Excellent communication and presentation skills.
•Proven ability to develop and deliver effective training programs.
•Strong organizational and record-keeping skills.
•Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Physical/Mental Requirements and Working Conditions
•Ability to carry up to 15 pounds; handle and reach below shoulder
•Ability to use hands to accomplish tasks as assigned
•Ability to effectively communicate; pass audiogram in hearing conservation program as required by location
•Ability to see close and distance and basic colors/shades
•Ability to work alone, interact with the public, and perform under deadline pressure
•Ability to work outdoor and indoor activities under various conditions
