SUMMARY: The Warehouse Supervisor will lead Dorf Ketal’s warehouses operations, managing the team and warehouse demands while optimizing the flow of materials in and out of the facility. The role is critical in supporting daily supply chain operations — from ensuring safe procedures for storing and handling chemicals to planning shipments and updating information in the Oracle system for effective communication across all parties. This job is based at Dorf Ketal’s warehouse and will require occasional visits to third-party warehouses. This is a first-level managerial role responsible for supervising warehouse operations. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, and conducting performance appraisals.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop procedures for warehouse activities (ISO standards) and guarantee that the operation is attending the standards, while keeping the department’s documentation up to date.

- Ensure correct execution of move orders in warehouses to supply production according to the FEFO system.

- Plan dispatches according to sales orders plan, ensure that confirmations are released in Oracle system and guarantee compliance with internal regulations to transport hazard goods

- Ensure inventory accuracy in the system: responsible for inventory counts and month-end and annual stock closing, as well as monitoring stock levels and physical space utilization.

- Monitor and control warehouse costs: rentals, services, and general expenditure

- Oversee maintenance of warehouse equipment to guarantee safe conditions

- Stablish evaluation criteria for suppliers, especially third-party warehouses, and run periodic reviews to ensure that they are meeting the required service levels

- Keep record non-conformances related to transportation and conduct meetings with the team to close out the non-conformances efficiently

- Monitor and systematically control the performance of WH Department through the analysis of appropriate management KPI, proposing necessary plans and actions to ensure achievement of defined goals and objectives.

- Recommend improvements and work on projects to increase safety, efficiency and reduce costs of our logistics operations

- Occasional weekends or extra hours may be required to meet operational demands.

- Support and assist in implementing and maintaining the RCMS program. Identify training needs of personnel. Promote awareness of the RCMS guiding principles and Dorf Ketal's HSSE policy, objectives and goals in addition to how they can contribute to them

- Substitute any of the team members, when necessary, in their absence

- Support and assist in implementing and maintaining certified management systems ascribed to DK such as ISO 9001. Identify training needs of personnel. Promote awareness of risks and opportunities associated with their work. Maintain an understanding of the Quality policy and how they personally contribute to meeting DK objectives and goals

- Support and assist in implementing and maintaining the RCMS program. Identify training needs of personnel. Promote awareness of the RCMS guiding principles and Dorf Ketal's HSSE policy, objectives and goals in addition to how they can contribute to them.

- Other projects as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- This role will supervise/manage the warehouse team

- Directly supervises 2 or more employees

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain or related field

- Current HazMat training/certification (OSHA, DOT, IATA, or IMDG).

- Experience/Skills:

- 8+ years of experience in warehouse operations coordination

- Experience in chemical warehouse operations

- Preferable experience with Oracle ERP. Other ERP/WMS systems experience is a plus

- Forklift license

- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment to build the best practices in hazard-material handling.

Work Conditions:

This position requires working in a standard warehousing and/or laboratory environment, handling chemical packages, driving a forklift, or pallet jack trucks, while wearing all required PPE. Employees will need to be able to lift 50 lbs., climb stairs with no problem, work under weather conditions and communicate effectively with peers and managers via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
