Overview

Tube Fitting Specialties is an industrial supplier of instrumentation piping and components specializing in stainless steel tubing and fittings. TFS services facilities and job sites across the nation and delivers around the southeast Louisiana area.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse specialists to assist in our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the daily activities of the warehouse, the shipping and receiving of material, ensuring efficient processes, and communicating with the sales team. This role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse systems and inventory control.

Duties

•

Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, and inventory management.

•

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.

•

Inspect and receive incoming material and assist with restocking.

•

Pull sales orders to be shipped out.

•

Occasionally pick up local orders and deliver sales orders.

•

Implement and maintain effective inventory control systems to track stock levels and manage replenishment.

•

Collaborate with logistics teams to optimize freight operations and distribution center efficiency.

•

Maintain and reorder warehouse supplies.

•

Utilize effective systems for tracking inventory, shipments, and reporting purposes.

•

Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement in processes and workflows.

Requirements

•

Proven experience as a Warehouse Specialist or in a similar supervisory role within a distribution center environment.

•

Strong knowledge of freight operations and shipping/receiving protocols.

•

Proficiency in inventory control methods and systems.

•

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

•

Must have mechanical and pipe fitting knowledge.

•

Strong leadership qualities with the ability to work with other team members.

•

Familiarity with budgeting processes related to warehouse operations is a plus.

•

Ability to operate forklifts; certification may be required depending on company policy.

•

Exceptional problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement in warehouse operations.

•

Must have a valid drivers licenses and clean driving history.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
