Description
Scope of Work:
Shipping and receiving. Fill, pack and ship orders for customers, branches and service shops. Assist with shipping orders that require special handling. Prepare shipping documents and load trucks. Unload trucks, unpack shipments and check against packing list. Prepare parts for shipment as indicated on purchase order. Stock parts in designated areas.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
•Fill parts orders for branches, customers and shop personnel
•Box, pack or crate parts as necessary for shipment
•Label shipments, prepare shipping documents and load trucks
•Unload trucks, verify correct piece count and sign freight bills as required
•Unpack shipments, verify quantities per packing list and process per purchase order
•Prepare parts as necessary for shipment or stock in designated areas
•Record incoming shipping charges if required
•Clean assigned work area daily
•Record daily volume of work completed and actual time applied to activity
•Remove inactive parts locations from storage areas
•Assist in maintaining the receiving log
•Assist with orders that require special handling in the shipping department
•Assist at will call counter as necessary
•Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
Must have High School Diploma or equivalent

•Must be computer literate and proficient in a Windows based environment
•Must be able to lift 50 pounds
•Must be able to bend and twist several times a day

•Must promote and maintain a clean, neat and safe work environment
•Must have the ability to effectively operate stand up electric fork lifts
•Must have the ability to effectively operate 4000 to 5000 lb. capacity fork lifts

•Must count accurately and write legibly
•Must work quickly and accurately with part numbers
Working Conditions:
•Typical hours of work Monday through Friday; 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
•Weekend hours as necessary
•Some temporary adjustments to starting and quitting time as work load requires
