Warehouse Material Handler

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the warehouse distribution process, ensuring that materials are handled efficiently and safely. This position requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, as well as the ability to operate various equipment.

Duties

- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks to load and unload materials.

- Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and order picking.

- Perform heavy lifting and ensure proper handling of materials in compliance with OSHA regulations.

- Assist in shipping and receiving processes, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency.

- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure mechanical integrity.

- Participate in training sessions for heavy equipment operation as needed.

Experience

- Previous experience in warehouse distribution or materials handling is preferred.

- Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse management systems is beneficial.

- Experience operating cranes or other heavy equipment is a plus.

- Mechanical knowledge related to warehouse operations is advantageous.

- Prior experience in shipping & receiving roles will be considered an asset.
