Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Warehouse Inventory Specialist to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the organization and managing of inventory levels, ensuring product availability, and streamlining procurement processes. Additionally, you will support safety initiatives by helping to maintain a safe and compliant warehouse environment. This position is key to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our distribution center while contributing to our overall safety standards.
Duties
•Implementation: Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing robust inventory management systems that enable real-time tracking, ensure stock accuracy, and support efficient production planning and demand forecasting.
•Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities, including inventory levels, shipping and receiving documents, and vehicle maintenance logs.
•Training: Assist in the scheduling of safety training sessions for warehouse staff, new hires, ongoing education, and emergency response drills.
•Risk Assessment: Perform regular safety audits and inspections of the warehouse and vehicle fleet to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
•Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents and near-misses, document findings, and assist to develop strategies to prevent recurrence.
•Reporting and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training sessions, and compliance audits. Prepare reports for management and regulatory agencies as needed.
•Collaboration: Work closely with warehouse management and staff to promote safety awareness and ensure compliance throughout all operations along with ensuring smooth operations and timely order fulfillment.
•Logistics: Keep Track of pickups, verify that parts are made ready on time for clients, installers, and prep to be ready for installers to load parts on truck for each project.
•Emergency Preparedness: Assist in implementing emergency response plans, ensuring that all staff are trained and aware of procedures.
•Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records, conduct regular stock counts, and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability.
•Partner: With cross functional teams to align inventory management with business objectives.
•Maintain: And update inventory management systems to track stock movements and optimize storage solutions.
•Reporting: On inventory performance metrics, including turnover rates and stock discrepancies.
•Develop: Strategies for effective inventory control and reduction of excess stock.
•Order Fulfillment: Review all shipping orders for accuracy ensuring orders are processed in a timely manner.
•Receiving and Inspection: Receive incoming shipments, inspect for damages, and verify quantities against purchase orders. Report discrepancies and manage returns.
•Storage Organization: Ensure that products are stored in an organized manner, utilizing appropriate shelving and storage techniques for easy access.
•Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of materials and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
•Equipment Operation: Safely operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, vehicle fleet and maintain equipment in good working order.
•Other duties as assigned to support business needs.
•Safety Program: Monitor safety programs and initiatives to promote a culture of safety within the warehouse.
Skills
•Strong understanding of operations and distribution center processes.
•Monitor inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy on inventory management system
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align inventory management with business objectives.
•Prepare reports on inventory performance metrics, including turnover rates and stock discrepancies.
•Experience with Safety programs and management
•Attention to detail for identifying potential hazards or areas of improvement in safety practices
•Ability to follow up on safety issues and ensure that corrective actions are implemented and sustained
•Strong organizational skills to manage safety program and inventory control
•Proficiency in data mining tools and techniques for analyzing inventory data.
•Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks.
•Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
•Effective communication skills for liaising with clients and internal stakeholders.
•Bilingual (Spanish/English) Preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $26.00 per hour
