ABC Plumbing, Sewer, Heating, Cooling & Electric is looking for a Warehouse/Facilities Associate who has an eye for detail and great organizational skills with the drive to get the job done.
THIS POSITION REQUIRES AVAILABILITY OF 2:00PM- 10:30PM & WEEKENDS
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
•Maintain department standards for productions and quality
•Accurately selecting/picking product according to the customer’s batch/order specifications.
•Moving and staging product and materials using a pallet jack or other equipment
•Maintain the facility’s equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
•Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
•Become knowledgeable of the responsibilities, procedures and duties of other areas of the warehouse.
•Participate in physical inventories; perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed
•Completes deliveries by driving truck or van to and from vendors.
•Pulling parts from our warehouse
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:
•Receiving good and stock warehouse
•Detail property on a regular basis. Clean and rake shrub areas; shovel mud when necessary. Use blower to keep sidewalks and walking areas clean of loose grass and brush.
•Transfer trash and other items left outside of dumpsters into dumpster. Pick-up and sweep area. Keeps dumpster doors closed and clear on windy days.
•Performs work area clean up and safety related duties.
•Assists in maintenance with various physical tasks as directed; installation of appliances, office equipment and building any items that are needed, etc.
•Perform routine maintenance requests repair and replace window screens, copying keys, changing common area lightbulbs etc.
•Helps clean and maintain storage, office and shop areas.
•Removing snow and clearing ice from sidewalks driveways, and parking areas as necessary.
REQUIREMENTS:
•The ability to operate material handling equipment, lift truck experience preferred
•Must be capable of repetitive lifting of up to 100 lbs. must be capable of sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time
•Ability to count accurately, do simple math and write legibly
•Strong sense of urgency; flexibility in meeting deadlines
•Work with internal departments to meet customer’s needs
•Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
•High school diploma or equivalent.
•Must be at least 18 years’ old
•Valid Illinois driver’s license with clean driving record
•Must pass drug screening & criminal background check
•Communication Proficiency – strong verbal, listening, and written communication
•Mathematical and Documentation Skills – basic elementary math calculations and recording of accurate information
•Technical and Mental Capacity - proficiency to navigate computer, calculator, copier, fax, scanner, and phone, etc.
