The Warehouse Clerk in a metal fabrication setting is responsible for organizing, receiving, storing, and distributing metal materials and fabricated parts. This role requires an understanding of raw materials, metalworking processes, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on accuracy and safety. You’ll be working closely with production teams, ensuring materials are readily available and in good condition.

- Maintain accurate inventory records of raw materials, equipment, and supplies
- Perform regular stock counts and ensure that the stock is organized, easily accessible, and labeled correctly.
- Coordinate with production staff to ensure timely delivery of materials required for fabrication processes.
- Ensure the warehouse is well-organized and clean, following safety protocols and industry standards.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth material flow and timely order fulfillment.
- Communicate effectively with other departments regarding stock levels and materials needed for production.
- Perform regular stock counts and ensure that the stock is organized, easily accessible, and labeled correctly.
- Operate forklifts, cranes, or other lifting equipment to move heavy or large metal components.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must be able to perform each essential duty daily.
- Previous experience in warehouse or inventory management, preferably in metal fabrication environment.
- Knowledge of metal materials (e.g., steel, aluminum) and their uses in fabrication.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and pallet jacks (certification may be required).
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand material and equipment specifications, and safety instructions.
- Basic math skills for inventory management.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 65 pounds occasionally.
- Must be able to stand, kneel, bend, twist, and reach for extended periods.
- Physically fit to work in an industrial environment and tolerate exposure to varying physical conditions.
- Must be able to work extended hours when necessary.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to operate tools, equipment, and safety devices.
- Tolerance to loud noises, vibrations, dust, heat, and fumes within a fabrication shop environment.
- Ability to wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) includes safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, high visibility clothing, and hearing protection.
- Industrial warehouse and manufacturing environment with heavy machinery, and overhead cranes.
- Strict adherence to safety procedures and use of PPE is mandatory at all times.
- Frequent interaction with production staff, supervisors, safety personnel, and quality control teams.
- Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, depending on seasonal conditions.
