Warehouse Clerk

Warehouse Clerk: We are seeking candidates with warehouse background to work in our facility in Newark, NY.

Our company specializes in casting precast shapes, form building, and fiber insulation work locally as well as construction and repair of high temperature furnaces throughout the Northeast. We are looking for a clerk to work in our warehouse to pull and package orders, stage materials for manufacturing work, prepare deliveries for construction and customers, as well as process incoming freight.

Experience to generally include:

· On the job training for warehouse functions

· Previous work history in warehouse and shipping environments and positions

· Experience with packaging parts of all shapes and sizes for safe shipment

· Safety training (OSHA 10 preferred)

· Experience with fork trucks (electric, gas, standing, and pallet jack)

· Local deliveries with a box truck or smaller – so candidate must have a clean, valid driver’s license

· Attention to detail

· Able to accurately read a tape measure (both in metric and standard units)

· Ability to learn and retain new skills and knowledge

· Computer skills, as well as inventory background desired; working with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and QuickBooks desired

· Excellent communication and planning skills, both written and verbal

· Work as a team or independently to fulfill customer orders in an accurate and timely manner

Must have reliable transportation and pass a background and drug screening. Typical starting hourly rate is $19-23 but negotiable based on specific skills and applicable experience of the candidate.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
