THE ROLE:
Responsible for the coordination of activities related to distribution of materials from the warehouse and the return of unused items to inventory, ensuring established SOPs for inventory control are adhered to. This is a 3 month temporary position.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Demonstrate safe behavior at all times, Comply with the site’s standards and procedures in SHEC.
- Demonstrate effective performance in achieving agreed SHEC goals in
support of the department, site and company standards and thru personal behaviors conversations.
- Reporting of all SHEC incidents. Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and rectify any variances.
- Manage the process for repairable items.
- Organize and manage the full stock take (complete inventory).
- Pulling inventory from stores and Delivery of materials to the point of use.
- Manage the process of returning of unused materials to inventory.
- Management of Operating Supplies inventory and variances
- Collaborate with Warehouse Supervisor in controlling inventory cost.
- Proactively monitor reports for maintaining inventory quantity and availability of items.
- Collaborate with Warehouse Supervisor in drafting and revision of SOPs related to management of the warehouse.
- Provide support to Operations in use of Materials Management module transactions in SAP and educate on warehouse policy and procedures, Assist with inventory description changes, stock level evaluation or other edits to Material Master, Data and MRP settings within SAP and Assist with KPI reporting in relation to inventory.
- High School Diploma
- 1-3 years of experience in inventory control in warehouse or industrial environment.
- Strong organizational and conceptual planning and operational skills with ability to communicate and influence others
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills and a “team-oriented” approach to the achievement of tasks
- Good communication skills (both written & verbal)
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Working knowledge of SAP strongly desired, A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office software and use of ERP software, Quickly learns and applies information, knowledge and skills.
