Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for various warehouse duties including materials handling, order picking, and shipping receiving. They will provide direct support to the production team by efficiently issuing components and maintaining an accurate inventory of the parts warehouse.
Duties
-Receive incoming parts and components into the parts warehouse in a timely manor. Sort and move parts to their specified location to storage.
- Stock parts and label them with identifying information (bin locations, part numbers, purchase order number, quantity)
-Locate and prepare all material requests in a timely manor, ensuring efficient transactions in our ERP system
-Ability to perform weekly and monthly cycle counts
-Utilize provided tools to maintain an accurate inventory
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, while enforcing the workspace S.O.P.'s and 5S standard
- Actively assist in continuous improvement activities and offer positive suggestions for improvements and innovations
- Conforms with and abides by all regulations, policies, work procedures, safety rules, security procedures and instructions
- Perform all duties according to the established safety policy
- Performs other duties assigned by the Materials Manager
-Candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED
- Must have fork truck experience
-Experience with ERP software related to inventory tracking and cycle counting
-Minimum 1 year experience or related warehouse experience (receiving, stocking, picking/packing)
-Must be able to perform physical activities that require the use of arms and legs with the ability to lift 50lbs repeatedly
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions
- Ability to use and verify multi digit part numbers
- Knowledge of Global Shop Solutions is a plus
- Must pass Company pre-employment testing
- Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers
- Ability to work with deadlines and stressful situations professionally
- Ability to use deductive reasoning to solve inventory discrepancies
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and able to manage your time effectively
