Position Summary
PROENERGY is seeking a dynamic, innovative, and experienced Vice President of IT Operations Support to lead and manage the enterprise-wide IT infrastructure and operations across all divisions, including AeroAdvantage, PowerFLX, WattBridge, Manufacturing, and Corporate Functions. This is the most senior role in IT infrastructure and operations, responsible for deskside support, end-user computing, servers and storage, network, and cybersecurity operations.
As a key member of the IT leadership team, you will drive operational excellence, foster innovation, and ensure technology platforms are secure, resilient, and strategically aligned with PROENERGY's vision of advancing the global energy transition.
This position is based in Houston, TX, and will require occasional travel to company locations nationwide.
Position Responsibilities
•Define and execute the vision, mission, and strategy for IT Operations to support the enterprise-wide digital agenda.
•Partner with the CIO to align IT Operations with corporate strategic priorities, driving technology innovation to support operational excellence and business growth.
•Enterprise Infrastructure Management
•Lead enterprise-wide management of deskside support, server and storage, networking, end-user computing, and cybersecurity operations.
•Oversee day-to-day IT service delivery, ensuring performance, reliability, security, and scalability across all divisions.
•Direct and continuously improve IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks, ensuring best practices in incident, problem, and change management.
•Cybersecurity and Risk Management
•Collaborate with the CIO to ensure robust cybersecurity operations and resilience, addressing risks across OT and IT environments.
•Lead disaster recovery and business continuity planning, safeguarding the availability and integrity of critical systems.
•Operational Excellence and Innovation
•Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies (e.g., cloud, AI/ML, automation) to enhance operational capabilities and employee productivity.
•Implement service improvements, develop key performance indicators (KPIs), and create a culture of continuous improvement and cost optimization.
•Organizational Development
•Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, diverse IT Operations team, fostering a collaborative, customer-centric culture.
•Develop workforce strategies to ensure the IT Operations team possesses the skills and capabilities needed for today and tomorrow.
•Financial Stewardship and Vendor Management
•Own and manage the IT Operations budget, ensuring alignment with overall IT and enterprise strategies.
•Manage strategic vendor relationships and sourcing strategies to maximize value, service quality, and innovation.
•Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, ensuring that IT services meet or exceed expectations and that technology initiatives drive business outcomes.
•Represent IT Operations at executive forums, governance committees, and planning boards.
Required Qualifications
•Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field; equivalent work experience will be considered.
•Minimum 15 years of IT experience, with at least 10 years in leadership roles overseeing large-scale, complex IT infrastructure and operations.
•Proven track record of leading enterprise-wide IT Operations in an industrial, manufacturing, energy, or similarly complex multi-site environment.
•Strong technical expertise across networking, storage, server platforms, cloud (Azure/AWS), IT security operations, and ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
•Experience managing cybersecurity operations in partnership with enterprise security teams.
•Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with experience managing diverse, geographically distributed teams.
•Demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate, and build trust with C-level executives, business leaders, and technical teams.
•Significant experience in budget planning and financial management with a focus on cost optimization and operational efficiency.
•Deep understanding of disaster recovery, business continuity, and resilience planning for enterprise environments.

Desired Qualifications
•Master’s degree (MBA, MIS, or related field) preferred.
•Experience in energy, utilities, or industrial services sectors highly preferred.
•Familiarity with aeroderivative gas turbine operations, manufacturing support systems, and peaker plant environments.
•Experience modernizing infrastructure with hybrid cloud strategies and DevOps/Agile practices.
•Certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or related credentials.
•Experience with digital transformation initiatives, including automation, AI/ML deployment in operational processes.
•Strong vendor management experience, including negotiating complex managed service agreements.
