NOV’s ReedHycalog division is seeking a forward-thinking Vice President of Supply Chain to lead and optimize its global operations. This role is responsible for setting and executing supply chain strategy across all product lines, with a strong focus on supplier performance, sourcing, procurement, logistics, and end-to-end process optimization. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence by leading a high-performing, cross-functional team and fostering strategic supplier partnerships that deliver cost-effective, resilient, and innovative solutions. A key focus of this role is to elevate supplier collaboration as a competitive advantage—ensuring quality, reliability, and value across the global supply base. The VP will play a critical role in aligning supply chain practices with NOV’s corporate growth and transformation goals, leveraging digital enablement and data-driven decision-making to unlock long-term value and enterprise-wide impact.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Leadership & People Development
•Lead, develop, and coach a high-performing global supply chain team, ensuring alignment across regions and functions.
•Foster a culture of accountability, active communication, continuous improvement, and professional development across the organization.
•Bring together cross-functional and cross-regional teams to build trust, drive alignment, and facilitate enterprise-wide change initiatives.
Process & Operational Optimization
•Continuously assess and refine department processes, tools, and resource utilization to ensure efficiency, scalability, and alignment with business needs.
•Identify and implement optimization opportunities across procurement, logistics, and materials management to improve performance and reduce cost.
Strategic Sourcing & Execution
•Develop and drive the sourcing strategy for key materials, products, and services in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
•Lead the execution of sourcing strategies for projects and commodities to meet business objectives on cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
Global Supplier Management
•Oversee global supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with business expectations and continuous improvement in supplier performance (quality, lead time, delivery).
•Conduct regular strategic reviews with suppliers and internal stakeholders to evaluate and enhance supplier value and compliance.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
•Partner with engineering, operations, product line management, and finance to align supply chain strategy with product development and operational priorities.
•Collaborate with Enterprise Solutions to implement scalable digital tools that enhance visibility and data-driven decision-making.
Compliance & Safety
•Ensure compliance with NOV’s HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) policies and all relevant corporate procedures and regulatory standards.
Perform other work-related tasks as assigned in support of overall business needs.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
•Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline; MBA or advanced certification preferred.
10+ years of progressive experience in global supply chain leadership, ideally in industrial or manufacturing environments.
