In this executive leadership role, you’ll shape scalable EHS infrastructure, drive strategic initiatives, and ensure safety is embedded in every operational and business decision. As a key member of our senior leadership team, you’ll lead high-impact initiatives that protect our workforce, uphold compliance, and build stakeholder trust—internally and externally.
Preferred Locations: Hybrid schedule based out of our Power Institute in Winter Park, FL
What You’ll Do:
•Advise executive leadership and the board on all matters related to environmental, health, and safety risks and opportunities
•Develop and execute a long-term strategic roadmap that integrates EHS with company growth and field operations
•Lead and mentor a team of EHS professionals, building scalable frameworks for training, compliance, and field operations
•Standardize and improve processes for incident response, root cause investigations, and corrective actions
•Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, ANSI, and other federal, state, and local safety regulations
•Conduct enterprise-wide risk assessments, job hazard analyses, and project-specific risk mitigation strategies
•Establish and monitor safety KPIs (e.g., TRIR, DART, leading indicators), using data to drive accountability and results
•Report safety metrics to internal and external stakeholders, including executive dashboards and board updates
•Leverage digital tools and predictive analytics to identify trends and support data-informed decision-making
•Foster a culture of “Safety as a Core Value” by leading behavior-based and psychological safety programs
•Create employee engagement initiatives like safety councils, recognition programs, and feedback mechanisms
•Deliver executive-level EHS training and lead change management for safety-related initiatives
•Champion and integrate Human and Organizational Performance (HOP) principles into training programs, incident investigations, and operational risk management
The Experience We’re Looking For:
•Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
•20+ years of progressive EHS experience in heavy industrial, EPC, or utility sectors
•10+ years in a senior leadership role with oversight of large, geographically dispersed safety teams
•CSP, CHST, or equivalent safety certification required
•Expert-level knowledge of OSHA, EPA, ANSI, NFPA, and federal/state contractor safety requirements
•Experience working in union and non-union environments, and managing complex subcontractor structures
•Proven track record influencing executive leadership, clients, regulators, and insurers
Bonus Points for:
