SUMMARY

Cleaning and maintaining the factory of A.Y. McDonald Mfg. Co. in a clean and orderly manner by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Empty trash containers located throughout the facility, both inside & outside.
Clean up and keep in order the facility’s conference rooms, break rooms, employee restrooms as well as the offices and their respective restrooms.
Keep production floor picked up and clean using the floor sweeper/scrubber as needed.
Assist with 6S initiatives as instructed by supervisor.
Make sure plant walls and ceilings are cleaned periodically. Clean windows & railings.
Monitor trash compactor and roll off dumpster and alert responsible party when they need to be emptied.
Monitor and periodically clean parking area and truck docks as needed.
Shovel snow and salt sidewalks as weather dictates. Pull weeds as necessary.
Remove empty boxes including wood crates from the facility and properly dispose of.
Ensure that the break/smoking areas are policed as they should be, and the butt cans are emptied.
Make sure supply storage area is kept neat and tidy and needed supplies are ordered timely.
Periodically strip and wax all tile floors as needed. Periodically clean carpets as needed.
Make runs for supplies needed, example Lowes.
General upkeep and cleaning of all aspects of the facility as directed by supervisor/plant manager.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).


LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.


REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
