A Utility person may be required to perform some and/or all the position related responsibilities noted in this summary. Each property will determine the needs of that property and have the Utility Persons perform the duties necessary for that property.
Perform utility locate requests (locate and mark underground facilities), stake meter locations, perform dig in inspections, patrol distribution system, maintain regulator stations, monitors pressure equipment, work “no-access” orders found during system surveillance, do atmospheric corrosion patrolling and other maintenance work, update GIS mapping, operate and maintain company vehicle. Assist in maintaining A.C.C. Code Compliance which includes data input, tracking and monitoring of Code Compliance requirements for completion. Also may will be responsible for field activities associated with Code Compliance including gauge and pressure recorder calibration records, Public Building inspections records, patrolling, atmospheric patrols records, odorant tests, assist with store room activities including inventory, daily transactions, material ordering, issuing and receiving, maintain daily manual/computer records used to compile monthly statistical report, maintain time and material invoice log for billing damage to company property , keep log of customer over a quarter pound of pressure, Assign accounting to invoices for payment and log into computer data base system, create routine meter orders and keep log of completed routines, close service orders, maintain ACC files, keep scrap meter log, maintain log on customers off with notice and customers off without notice, keep IAIC log of mainline extension, maintain leak investigation log, keep meter reading system patrolling report and orders, dispatch emergency orders to field, maintain emergency list log of hit gas lines, maintain system surveillance reports and orders, meet with contractor to set up new premises, keep log on green tags and approvals from city or county inspectors, provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers. Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Qualified applicants will be given a written test and must get 75% or better to proceed in the interview process.
