Job Summary
We are seeking Utility Line Locators to join our team. Whether you’re experienced or new to the field, we welcome candidates who are quick learners, detail-oriented, and committed to following protocols and procedures. As a Utility Line Locator, you will play a crucial role in accurately identifying and marking underground utility lines to prevent damage and ensure the integrity of vital infrastructure.
Duties and Responsibilities
•Conduct fieldwork to locate and mark underground utility lines using specialized equipment.
•Apply knowledge of utility locating techniques, including interpreting maps, land surveying, and reading blueprints.
•Collaborate with contractors and construction crews to prevent utility line damage during excavation.
•Maintain detailed records of located utilities and submit accurate documentation.
•Perform cable locating and tracing activities when necessary.
Preferred Experience and Skills
•Previous utility locating or related field service experience is a plus, but not required.
•Familiarity with land surveying techniques and blueprint interpretation is beneficial.
•Strong attention to detail with the ability to read and interpret maps and technical documents.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
