What is a Utility Forester?

The Utility Forester guides and manages the safety standards/performance, administration, customer relations and tree trimming specifications for the Vegetation Management department throughout the service territory.

What does it take to be a Utility Forester? Required:* Bachelor’s degree in forestry or a related field of study and direct line clearance experience. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, an associate’s degree in forestry or a related field of study and 3 years of direct line clearance experience. In lieu of an associate’s degree, a high school diploma or equivalency degree and 7 years of direct line clearance experience.

Preferred:* 15 years of direct utility line clearance experience

This position has a career path which allows for advancement opportunities within a job series. The title and level are commensurate with experience. Pay Range: $91,800-$149,200
