Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Utility Locator to join our team in Columbia, MO. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately locating underground utilities such as gas, water, sewer, and telecommunications lines using specialized equipment and techniques. The Utility Locator will work closely with construction crews and utility companies to ensure the safety and efficiency of excavation projects.

Responsibilities:

- Use electronic locating equipment to accurately identify and mark the location of underground utilities

- Communicate with construction crews and utility companies to coordinate excavation activities

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent damage to underground utilities

- Maintain accurate records of utility locations and markings

- Work outdoors in various weather conditions

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Prior experience as a Utility Locator or similar role preferred

- Knowledge of utility locating techniques and equipment

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
