Turnaround Spotter

We are seeking a Turnaround Spotter!

The Opportunity:

McKay Métis Contracting, an entity of McKay Métis Group, is seeking a temporary Turnaround Spotter with a potential to be permanent.

The Role:

Reporting to the Team Lead/designate, the Turnaround Spotter is responsible for the following:

Accountabilities:

- Maintain communication with workers and operators using radios, hand signals, instructions

- Stop unsafe work immediately and escalate hazards to the Supervisor/designate

- Ensure all turnaround activities comply with site safety rules, permits and company policies

- Participate in safety meetings and toolbox talks

- Monitor and guide mobile equipment to prevent incidents

- Control pedestrian and vehicle traffic around congested work areas

- All other duties as required

Requirements:·

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Previous industrial, plant or turnaround experience preferred.

- Knowledge of site safety practices·

- Strong communication skills (verbal, hand signals, radio use)·

- Ability to remain alert and focused at all times·

- Successfully complete all pre-employment testing·

- Class 5 Driver’s License

Schedule: 5 days, 5 nights followed by 5 days off, working 12 hours a day.

Salary: Competitive hourly wage.
