WestCorp Solutions is seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Turnaround Planner to support our client in Fort McMurray, AB. This role combines planning expertise with practical field knowledge of instrumentation and electrical systems in a complex industrial environment.
Location: Fort McMurray, AB Contract Length: ~14 months, possibility for renewal based on client operational requirements Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 10-hour days (may change during events) Travel FIFO: Client-chartered flights from Edmonton or Calgary, executive camp accommodations. Travel Local: Daily bussing to/from site
- Develop comprehensive work packages for E&I turnaround and day-to-day maintenance, including job steps, materials, vendors, and safety requirements.
- Review and prioritize work orders (WOs), manage backlog, and align scopes with operational needs.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to validate work scopes, ensure alignment with maintenance strategies, support efficient work execution, and minimize downtime.
- Maintain accurate records, including cost tracking, work order history, and supporting documentation.
- Contribute to improvements in planning standards, preventative maintenance programs, and inventory management.
- Provide input for turnaround, outage, and day-to-day maintenance scopes.
- Mentor junior planners and share best practices.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and site standards.
- Red Seal/Journeyman Electrician or Instrumentation Technician preferred; Technical Diploma, Degree, or equivalent also considered.
- 5+ years of planning experience in Oil & Gas or industrial environments- Strong knowledge of E&I systems and turnaround planning in industrial environments.
- Proficiency with Maximo (or similar CMMS) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Planning Certification is an asset.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
