To bend product per specifications on Pines bending equipment ensuring quality product per customer and design requirements.
To assist in the development of product as necessary.
Working from routing sheets, worklist and/or verbal instructions from supervisor, verifies operation to be performed and material to be used on each job.
Completes all steps required in tube bending process according to established standards in a manner which results in meeting or exceeding production standards.
Sets up bending equipment per blueprint with appropriate tooling and clamp block, radius die, follower, wiper and mandrel as required
Determines adjustment(s) and pressures required to compensate for clamp marks, scratches, wrinkling and other problems associated with improper set-up
Continually monitors material quality and notifies quality control regarding defects
Using calipers and other appropriate measuring devices and blue prints, inspects parts for tolerances as they are produced.
Ensures accuracy of numbers of parts produced, associated scrap and appropriate movement of parts to next operation
Verifies parts produced against routing and informs supervisor of discrepancies
Performs prototype duties as required according to Engineering specifications.
Reports all items needing corrective action to supervisor i.e. DWG errors, tool problems, equipment problems, route sheets, material problems and part counts.
Adheres to all safety standards and procedures and maintains an ongoing awareness of safety for self and others in assigned work area.
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.
Post high school technical education or equivalent knowledge gained through experience
