- Safely operate a variety of class 1-3 vehicles (Peterbilt 388/379/567, Kenworth T800 + more) to transport scrap metals/other commodities.
- Load and unload items/bins from the trucks, ensuring proper handling and securing of the cargo. (Ratchet straps, chains, tarps etc.)
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided by the supervisor.
- Provide excellent customer service by making pick-ups in a timely and professional manner.
- Communicate effectively with customers, addressing any concerns they may have.
- Complete paperwork relevant to pickups in a legible manner and turn them in after each pickup (how many items, identifying marks on bins, etc.)
- Utilizing the company's app, update the location of bins throughout the city as they move.
- Familiarity with roll-off truck systems, lugger truck systems, and 53' flat deck transportation.
- Valid Manitoba driver's license with a clean driving record. Class 1-3 mandatory.
- At least 7 years of driving heavy trucks in Canada (non-negotiable.)
- Ability to operate a forklift is a plus.
- Customer service skills to interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks is required.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with customers coworkers.
- Fluency in the English language is imperative.
