Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Trim Steel Technician/Machinist to produce high-quality castings for automotive suppliers. This role involves both the preparation and machining of trim steels, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely production.
- Shell coat patterns, maintain lot integrity, and track shell coat processes.
- Assemble foam patterns with proper risers, assign weights, and log data into the Guardian system.
- Create job records, print required documentation, and read blueprints.
- Operate drill press, milling machines, and Blanchard grinder to machine trim steels for spot-facing and reaming.
- Use and interpret various gauges and precision measuring instruments.
- Perform final inspections of trim steels prior to shipping.
- Conduct routine maintenance on machinery and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with and support other departments as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous experience in production, manufacturing, or other related fields preferred
- Familiarity with manufacturing machinery and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload and stand for extended periods.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to safety protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
- Pay: $18/hour
- Sign-On Bonus: Up to $750
