Tree Trimmer

Stevenson Tree Care is hiring for a Climbing Arborist/Bucket Operator position. This role requires a balance of physical exertion, mechanical aptitude, situational awareness, and common sense. We provide you with the tools, equipment, and training to work safely and effectively. Join our team if you have the drive and work ethic to grow in the arboriculture industry.

Requirements

● Degree in Forestry, Horticulture, Biology, Arboriculture, or related discipline

● OR a minimum of 6 months climbing trees with a rope and saddle or operating a bucket truck performing general tree work

● Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

● Climb trees and/or operate an aerial lift to prune, remove, or brace trees

● Assist in cleanup of debris such as raking, dragging brush and feeding a chipper

● Prepare, operate, and maintain all tools and equipment used for tree services

● Have full knowledge of proper techniques and best practices

● Have knowledge of, and ability to identify, local tree and shrub species

● Communicate effectively with Operations Manager, office, and crew

● Plant trees and shrubs, provide care instructions to customers

● Perform accurate and timely record-keeping

Work Environment

● Able to work in varying weather conditions

● Able to regularly lift heavy objects up to 75 lbs

● Interested and able to work at heights up to 75 feet

● Able to manage stress in high-intensity situations
