ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
LoneStar Fasteners is looking for the right, qualified individuals to join our team!! We have 1 immediate Tray Setter position (full-time) on 2nd Shift open within the Production area at our facility in Spring, TX!
The basic function of the Tray Setter is to ensure the parts to be coated are cleaned and prepped per customer specifications as required within the work order.
•Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies.
•Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a Supervisor or Manager immediately.
•Prepare trays for painting/coating materials, with knowledge of work instructions and the materials they will be handling.
•Reads traveler ticket to verify size dimensions, type of material, mark the pain color, load part on trays, verify job quantity and move cart/parts to pre-heaters, and finish the paper work by logging in the system the job order time.
•Start-up, operate, and shut down the curing and preheat oven; assists in the process of blasting, phosphating and coating of parts to customer specifications as contained within the work order
•Checks work visually, makes minor decisions; detects and reports defective items and unusual conditions supervisor
•Perform other related duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE
•0-2 years of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
•High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); Associate’s degree preferred
•Ability to pass a basic reading, math, measurement, parts matching and counting test
•Able to read, understand, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specifications
•Ability to adjust to changes without compromising Quality or Performance
•Must be able to work a shift schedule and overtime as needed, including weekends
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
•Must be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shift
•Ability to manually load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, platforms up to weighing 25-65 lbs
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close, Distance, Peripheral, Depth and Ability to adjust focus
•Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, lift, and hammer
WORK ENVIRONMENT
•Manufacturing warehouse environment with multi step process production runs on different machines.
•High value highly customized components, long and large parts, and high precision manufacturing for critical service applications
•Noise Level: Moderate to High
•Temperature variable with season; due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold
