Traveling Highway Construction Equipment Operator

Interstate Improvement, Inc. is a general highway contractor based in Faribault, MN. We perform highway repair throughout the continental U.S.

The position will require the operation and training to operate miscellaneous pieces of concrete removal equipment (i.e., skid loaders, mills, boom trucks, and saws). At times it may be necessary to perform basic light labor duties, such as spraying cure on freshly poured concrete, distributing materials to portions of the project, etc. The willingness and ability to learn and be capable of running new types of equipment is critical to this position. Having a basic mechanical ability is a plus.

Qualifications/ required skills

- Valid Commercial Drivers License - Class A or Class B

- 2+ years of previous operator experience.

- Must have an acceptable motor vehicle record

- Able to pass Pre-Employment drug screen

- Ability to be away from home for extended periods of time

- Must be 21 years or older (DOT Regulation on driving vehicles interstate)

- Ability to work extended hours in adverse weather conditions

- Basic understanding of Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Electrical functions a plus

- Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. or more

- Willingness to follow directions, be productive without constant supervision all while remaining safety conscious

- Prevailing Wage pay ranging from $28 to $40/ hr.
