To help facilitate our expanding business, RMS Energy is currently seeking Aluminum Welders to join our dynamic and fast-growing team. This is a unique opportunity to further your experience working on electrical equipment in diverse locations across the United States, including power plants, hydroelectric dams, and other large industrial facilities, with a focus on systems such as Isolated Phase Bus Ducts, Non-Segregated Bus Ducts, and Generator Circuit Breakers. As part of this team, you will be responsible for all mechanical aspects of projects, including demo of old equipment, layout, rigging/setting of new equipment, and welding of aluminum conductors.

Preferred Locations: Indiana; or other nearby states and neighboring cities.

Working Conditions

This job requires the ability to respond to 24/7 call outs and to work extended hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Work may be conducted outdoors in all weather conditions, near low-, medium-, and high-voltage equipment and heavy machinery, in areas with elevations in excess of 100 feet, and confined spaces adhering to strict safety protocols. Exposure to loud noises from machinery is common, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This job involves risk of electrical shock. This job requires frequent travel between RMS facilities and customer sites.

Physical Requirements

The position demands physical mobility to navigate uneven surfaces, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, fine motor skills for handling small components and tools, and the capability to climb ladders and work at heights. Sustained physical effort, including standing, bending, pushing, digging, pulling, kneeling, crawling and reaching for extended periods, is required. Good vision, including color vision and depth perception, and the ability to hear alarms and communications in noisy environments are essential. Additionally, proficiency in speaking, hearing, reading, and typing in English is required for effective communication and documentation.
