We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Transmission Foreman to join our team. In this pivotal leadership role, you will oversee the daily operations of transmission projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead a team of linemen and apprentices, providing guidance, training, and support as they carry out their responsibilities in the field.

Responsibilities

- Supervision and Leadership:

Leading and guiding a crew of linemen, apprentices, and groundmen in the installation, maintenance, and repair of transmission lines.

- Safety Management:

Enforcing strict safety procedures, conducting safety briefings (toolbox talks), and ensuring proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

- Technical Expertise:

Possessing a thorough understanding of transmission line construction, maintenance, and repair, including knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and troubleshooting.

- Project Management:

Overseeing the progress of work, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

- Equipment Operation:

Operating and maintaining specialized equipment, such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, and other tools used in transmission work.

- Training and Development:

Training new hires and apprentices in safe work practices and line work procedures.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

- Communication:

Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with crew members, supervisors, and customers.

- Problem-Solving:

Ability to analyze and troubleshoot electrical issues, identify hazards, and implement effective solutions.

- Technical Proficiency:

Expertise in working with energized high-voltage systems, understanding line clearances, and operating specialized equipment.

- Physical Fitness:

Ability to work at heights, lift heavy objects, and perform physically demanding tasks.

- Safety Awareness:

A strong commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of safety regulations and procedures.
