Job Summary: Join Us as a Transition Project Manager
We’re looking for a hands-on, technically savvy leader to guide our engineering efforts through the Study phases of our Pilot Plant Capital project. This role is all about refining process flows, exploring smarter alternatives, and reducing technical risk to set the stage for successful detailed design and procurement.
You’ll lead a talented Owners team of project engineers & planners, collaborate across Urbix functions, supervise the external engineering service providers, coordinate vendors & suppliers, and manage stakeholders.

- Proven track record delivering expansion projects and capital upgrades, with experience as part of the project owner’s internal team, as a client representative, or with an engineering service provider on a major project through to FEL2 readiness.
- 7+ years of relevant project experience, preferably within manufacturing, mining, or resource-based industries.- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Engineering.
- Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success delivering projects on time, on budget, and to quality standards.
- Ability to build and maintain strong, credible relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrates integrity, accountability, and values-based leadership, inspiring a high-performance culture across internal teams, operations, and engineering service providers.
· Lead multiple trade-off studies to finalize a process flow.
- Validate and optimize the high-level V6 process flow.
- Evaluate alternative equipment configurations and operating strategies.
- Assess trade-offs related to CAPEX, OPEX, sustaining CAPEX, and technical/safety risks.
· Coordinate Urbix test work and vendor engineering, including both internal testing at the Pilot Facility and external testing with vendors.
· Manage CAPEX and engineering for the demonstration plant, from capital justification and approval through procurement, construction, punch list, rectification, energization, commissioning, and handover.
· Develop and issue Process Design Criteria at the “Issued for Design” level for each unit operation.
· Deliver on Stage Gate requirements, applying value engineering when needed to optimize CAPEX, OPEX, and schedule for transition into Detailed Engineering.
· Prepare and issue Requests for Proposal (RFP) for Detailed Engineering services.
