Summary of Position
Midwest Hose is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Training Coordinator to join our team at a leading hose manufacturing company. The Training Coordinator will be in a warehouse environment and responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs to ensure all warehouse employees are knowledgeable about safety protocols, operational procedures, and best practices. This role requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of efficiency and safety in the warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Safety Program Implementation:
•Help enforce safety policies and procedures
•Support compliance with OSHA and other regulatory safety standards
•Assist in conducting safety and workplace inspections
Training and Education:
•Assist in conducting safety training for employees
•Assist in New Hire Orientation, forklift training, and any additional training deemed necessary
•Assist in training and ongoing training of trainers in each department
•Assist in ongoing training sessions on workplace hazards, PPE usage, and emergency procedures
Workplace Inspections and Hazard Identification
•Routinely conduct safety walkthroughs and report hazards to the Safety Manager
•Assist in evaluating work areas for potential safety hazards
•Assist in ensuring that safety equipment is properly maintained
Regulatory Compliance and Documentation
•Assist in maintaining records of training logs and compliance reports
•Assist in preparing reports for management regarding safety metrics
Promoting a Positive Training Culture
•Encourage employees to follow policies and report concerns
•Act as a liaison between employees and the Training Managers
•Participate in safety meetings to improve workplace safety
Work Environment:
•Warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial setting
•Frequent sitting, walking, standing, and occasional lifting of materials
•Exposure to varying temperatures and working conditions
Qualifications and Requirements:
•High school diploma or GED (required)
•Previous experience training in a warehouse environment (required)
•Basic mechanical skills and ability to use hand tools
•Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
•Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
•Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. in adherence to Midwest Hose Safety Standards
•Comfortable working in a warehouse environment, including exposure to temperature changes, dust, and machinery
•Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
•Reliable and dependable with a strong work ethic
•Willingness to work outside regular business hours as needed
Compensation: $52,000 - $55,000 starting with growth potential + $125 cell phone allowance
