Intersafe Traffic Services, Inc. traffic controllers work throughout the greater bay area to direct motorists safely around job sites and away from workers. Traffic controllers will set up flagging operations, lane closures, lane shifts, detours, and any other traffic changes needed to ensure MUTCD and local compliance for temporary traffic control on roadways.
Traffic Controller/Flagger is a full time non-exempt hourly position with overtime expected. Some weekend and night work required as needed.
Travel is expected for this position throughout the bay area. A company vehicle with gas card will be provided for work use from the office in Petaluma, CA.
While experience is preferred, we will train the right candidates! A clean valid driver’s license is required and must pass a pre-employment drug test. Must be willing to take a company sponsored flagging safety course and successfully complete company training.

Daily driving is expected. Traffic Controllers are exposed to varying climates and elements, determined by Mother Nature. Extreme heat, rain, dust and wind are to be expected.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and stand; talk or hear; reach with hands and arms; key/type. The employee is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is required to drive a vehicle.
