Elite Surface Infrastructure Overview
Elite Surface Infrastructure (ESI) is a growing company located in Englewood Colorado and has been working along the Colorado front range since 1998. ESI is one of the largest construction companies in Colorado that self-performs a variety of services including Underground Utilities, Milling, Asphalt, Paving, Grading, Concrete, and Earthwork for Infrastructure and Infrastructure Improvement Projects in the commercial, municipal, and federal sectors.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) implements traffic plans, liaises with project superintendents, project managers, and municipalities, to complete many roadway construction projects. The TCS shall be able to create a “method of handling traffic” as needed. This role involves ensuring safe delivery of traffic activities, and providing the traffic control set up and personnel on each job under their direction. They are responsible for maintaining traffic control devices and completing all required reports. Reports shall include but are not limited to: Daily Logs (either on paper or virtual), flagger tickets, inventory reports, credit card receipts, DVIR reports, and mileage reporting. Traffic Control Supervisors are responsible for training and managing all personnel under their supervision, taking extreme care regarding safety skills and safe practices. This position requires a person with strong organizational skills, great communication skills, continuing education, and quick thinking and reacting. The TCS will report directly to the Traffic Control Manager and have a close communication relationship with them.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
Responsibilities:
•Ensure that each roadway setup is done accurately and to the best of their ability, using the MHT for guidance. They will report inconsistencies to the Traffic Control Manager.
•Ensure that each flagger under their supervision has the proper training to assist with road construction projects.
•Ensure that flaggers are given proper break times in accordance with labor laws.
•Coordinating with project superintendents and foremen on each job to ensure that the needs of the job are met.
•Communicate with City, County or State officials with professionalism and courtesy.
•Assists in inventory control and management.
•Complete all required monthly, weekly and daily reports. Provide them to project managers and TCM.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Key Responsibilities:
•Complete and submit all time reports for the job each day.
•Monitoring and controlling traffic at construction sites.
•Setting up, maintaining, and removing traffic control devices according to legal and operational requirements.
•Directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic control around construction sites, accidents, or any other disruption within the roadway system.
•Mentor and develop project personnel, enhancing team skills and performance.
•Communicate project status, directions, and solutions to project managers and TCM.
•Ensure all projects are thoroughly documented.
Education, Experience, and Skills:
•High School diploma or equivalent required.
•Must hold a Traffic Control Supervisor certification and a Flagger certification.
•Minimum of 2 years of experience in traffic control. (preferred)
•Knowledge of Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).
•Computer skills – or the ability to learn reporting programs.
•Must have a valid driver’s license, a clean driving record, and be able to pass a background check and drug test.
•Able to access State & Federal Facilities
•Flexibility to work in various outdoor environments conditions, in all weather conditions, and to adapt to shifting schedules.
