As a Tool Room employee, your primary responsibility is to oversee the activities and operations of the tool room within a manufacturing setting. You will be responsible for ensuring that the tool room functions efficiently and effectively to support production needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Team requirement:

Tool and Equipment Maintenance:
•Oversee the maintenance and repair of tools, fixtures, and other equipment used in the production process.
•Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and maximize operational efficiency.
•Coordinate with production to ensure timely availability of required tools and equipment.
Tool Room Operations:
•Manage inventory of tools, spare parts, and consumables, maintaining accurate records and conducting regular stock checks.
•Coordinate tool and equipment procurement activities, including sourcing, evaluation, and vendor management.
•Monitor tool room metrics and performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Process Improvement:
•Continuously evaluate tool room processes, identifying opportunities to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance productivity.
•Implement lean manufacturing principles and best practices to optimize tool room efficiency.
•Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions, process changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Safety and Compliance:
•Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies within the tool room.
Qualifications and Skills:
•High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is preferred.
•Proven experience in tool room operations, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred.
•Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to prioritize and meet deadlines.
•Knowledge of tools, dies, and fixtures used in production processes.
•Excellent leadership and team management skills.
•Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
•Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing tools and equipment as needed.
•Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
•Attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
•Knowledge of safety regulations and practices related to tool room operations.
