JOB TITLE: 1 st shift Tool & Die Maker
REPORTS TO: Fabrication Manager
SHIFT DAYS /HOURS : 8 hr. shifts (Mon-Fri) 7:00 am- 3:00 pm) Must be willing and able to work Mandatory OT on off days as necessary.
STARTING PAY: $19.69 to $31.19 per hour.
What You Will Be Responsible For:
•Manufacture details to print, supporting engineering projects.
•Ability to program CNC equipment, and safely operate standard Tool Room equipment.
•Mark up drawings for “as built” conditions for Engineering updates.
•Manage new tooling projects through Tool Room to project deadlines.
•Support Communications between Engineering and Production
•Assist Engineering, Production, and Set-up personnel with tooling set-ups and new tooling process verification.
•Work with Engineering and Maintenance for Hydraulic and Pneumatic requirements.
•Construction, Assembly, and Repair of fixtures, dies and jaws.
•Die maintenance as required (repair, sharpening & cleaning) & record repairs.
•Assist other personnel and perform other duties as required.

Work Environment / Physical Demands:
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
•The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
•Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
•While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and always without air conditioning.

What You Will Need:
•Prefer Journeyman Tool & Die maker or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years of tool room experience)
•Must be able to understand decimals, fractions, and tolerances.
•Able to read and understand inspection tools. (Micrometers, calipers, comparator).
•Must also pass a skills-based test.
•Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively; self-motivated; self-starter.
•Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables.
•Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
•Must be conscientious, diplomatic, and detail oriented.
Must pass a company background check and drug screen.
