The time and labor analyst is responsible for the testing and implementation of updates, modifications and enhancements to the time and labor, absence and payroll functionality of the human resources information technology applications; recommending, testing and implementing modifications/enhancements; analyzing data in support of human resources administration and projects; and developing documentation and providing human resources systems training.
Administer time management system activities: develop schedule templates, assign time entry privileges, maintain holiday schedules, review import and payroll override errors and coordinate resolution, maintain system documentation, train new users and assist with troubleshooting issues.
Understand and facilitate administration of collective bargaining agreements and pay practices. Advise other departments on system impacts of proposed agreements or practices. Develop requirements for new agreements or pay practices and facilitate testing and implementation.
Develops and maintains requirements, configuration documentation and test plans. Executes quarterly patch testing and enhancement testing based on applicable test plan. Updates documentation and end user training, and identifies training requirements.
Bachelor's degree in business/accounting or related field and 3-5 years of related experience in multi-state payroll administration or human resources information systems.
Candidates that do not possess a bachelor’s degree must have a minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
Accounting skills to reconcile and balance payroll and tax accounts and perform and develop payroll accounting processes and complete payroll tax filings. Effective analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; ability to identify key causes and workable solutions. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.
PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Proficiency in software skills to create spreadsheets and databases and to extract information from the human resources/payroll, time entry and general ledger systems.
General office environment. No special physical demands required.
Annual Salary: $78,500 (Min) to $92,300 (Mid); Up to 12% Short Term Incentive Plan target opportunity at the discretion of the company. This is a non-represented position.
