What role you will play in our team
Perform activities related to the receipt and shipping of all products and additives at the site. Perform functions relating to site operations, ensuring the reliability of equipment and the supply/delivery system. Operate, maintain and repair site facilities in a safe, efficient, cost effective and environmentally sound manner. Participate in activities which contribute to site safety and security, environmental protection, quality and business controls, in a manner consistent with the principals of operational excellence
What you will do
•Operate and maintain measurement systems (meters, gauging, injectors, etc.) per company procedures.
•Comply with health, safety, and regulatory legislation.
•Participate in operations and safety meetings.
•Adhere to control standards and procedures.
•Conduct site business with a safety mindset, ensuring compliance with PDM procedures and the Personnel Safety Management System.
•Collaborate with other departments on operational and maintenance activities.
•Act as a member of the Site Emergency Response Team.
•Support Product Quality and Supply groups to maintain product quality and manage supply issues.
•Manage and coordinate contractors and drivers for safety, orientation, and compliance.
•Serve as the liaison between the Control Centre, TOU, and site operations.
•Interface with measurement specialists, ISU, and third-party personnel for inventory management.
•Manage and coordinate site projects.
•Witness meter proving as per schedule and PDM procedures, completing required documentation.
•Assist with mechanical and operational activities.
•Recommend upgrades and adjustments to maintenance plans.
•Ensure flawless execution of the work permitting process.
•Direct contractors' work, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
•Identify requirements for PDM upgrades.
•Maintain accurate records of terminal operations documentation and correspondence.
•Perform maintenance, repair, and operational duties, assisting with electrical and mechanical repairs.
•Participate in after-hours callouts for troubleshooting and emergencies.
•Support the Site Manager in assessments, inspections, and initiatives.
•Complete site tasks in compliance with PDM procedures.
•Provide direction, training, and mentoring to junior employees and contractors.
•Respond to breakdowns and equipment failures.
•Perform and coordinate functions related to Rail, Marine, Truck, Tank Farm, and Boiler Operations.
•Provide support for fuel terminal maintenance and operations.
•Comply with plant safety rules/PPE requirements and work with terminal management to achieve objectives.
•Complete tasks assigned per Task Responsibility Tracker (TRT), SAP work orders, and HSE goals and policies.
•Conduct daily business in accordance with operational integrity, product quality, control integrity, and regulatory compliance frameworks.
•Actively participate in scheduled meetings.
About you
Skills and Qualifications
•Secondary/High School Diploma or college degree required.
•Good mechanical aptitude.
•Minimum of 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
•French language proficiency required; English language skills are an asset.
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
•Previous mechanical experience and/or mechanical certification (Fixed Machinery Mechanic - MMF4) preferred.
•High-level knowledge of measurement practices.
•Strong computer skills (Excel, Word).
•Detail the preferred/desired skills/knowledge applicable to the position:
•Excellent understanding of product quality requirements.
•In-depth knowledge of relevant rules, regulations, and standards.
•Very good interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills.
•Ability to work independently with moderate supervision.
•Demonstrates leadership skills.
•Knowledge of electrical systems, Multiload, and TMS desired.
•Training in product quality testing, gauging, storage, and pumping systems.
