An integral part of the Temporary Purchasing Assistant function will be ordering, expediting, and searching for alternative suppliers to fulfill parts on backorder and for least cost alternative suppliers. A proactive approach to customer communication on parts ordering and ETA status. Expediting parts ordered for fulfillment., maintaining a daily log of parts ordered and receipt to ensure premier customer service through timely delivery.
Assist in ordering, procurement, facilitation, and processing of parts, accessories and materials.
Interact with suppliers on a daily basis to ensure parts are delivered same day/next day as needed. Keeps and updates expediting records for all orders processed.
Acts as a liaison between product suppliers and manufacturers and service divisions of the company, as well as the consumer, with respect to product updates and customer service.
General knowledge of Company operations, and ability to learn specific operations of division to which assigned. Knowledge of HVAC/Appliance service/repair industry for residential and commercial equipment a plus.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, management and internal personnel.
Must be able to multi-task and track work efficiently and accurately - especially during peak periods
Computer literate with ability to understand data supplied in Great Plains and CRM, to effectively order and manage the purchasing process for parts fulfillment.
Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Excel to process reports.
Must be available to work overtime as workload requires. Will spend an extensive amount of time working with system applications, supplier and customer interaction, and other procurement related activities.
