Temporary Meter Technician

These positions are temporary positions used for the meter replacement project and water efficiency monitoring crews.

Employment is temporary with a flexible work schedule of varying days and hours per week, not exceeding 27 hours per week.

Job Summary:

To learn to read, record, repair, replace and service Agency water meters and/or learn to implement various water efficiency programs for the Agency; to assist customers with meter-related questions, perform water surveys and/or perform the more routine duties related to the area of assignment.

Possession and maintenance of a valid California driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required.
