Subject matter expert in digital communication areas especially in digital modulation/demodulation, channel coding, synchronization and equalization, pulse shaping and match filter design

Working knowledge of acoustic telemetry systems and accompanying signal processing algorithms
•
Knowledge of detection and estimation theories
•
Uses engineering techniques to predict performance of telemetry systems & develop adaptability, in changing conditions, and works with the multi-disciplinary team to mitigate system design risks
•
Uses laboratory hardware equipment and software tools or applications to perform routine analysis to predict performance of electronic circuits or control systems and identifies design improvements by evaluating results
•
Define, develop & test diagnostics for telemetry hardware
•
Develops design documentation and presents to stakeholders in design reviews, as required by Halliburton lifecycle process, and seeks approval
•
Develops creative/innovative solutions and new technology
•
Serves as a mentor to junior technical staff personnel
•
In addition, knowledge of digital circuit design, mixed signal circuit design, signal conditioning, or power supply design is a plus
•
The ideal candidate will have a MS or PhD in electrical/electronic engineering or appropriate combination of education and experience; a solid history of technical accomplishments; a demonstrated ability to commercialize technology; demonstrated ability to conceive of and develop creative/innovative technology; and over 7 years of successful industrial experience in similar environment
•
Previous experience with development of acoustic telemetry systems is highly desirable
•
Skills acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline and 6 years of related experience. Completion of a master's or doctoral degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline is preferred
